Minor in Applied Mathematics

To minor in applied mathematics, students need to complete the following 20 credits applied mathematics courses in addition to or included in their existing requirement(s) for their respective major(s), minor(s) or certificate(s) .

  • ICMA214 Ordinary Differential Equations
  • ICMA216 Calculus IIIA
  • ICMA217 Calculus IIIIB
  • ICMA223 Linear Algebra A
  • ICMA224 Linear Algebra B
  • ICMA151 Statistics for Science I
  • ICMA322 Advanced Calculus

We were informed that students who wish to do minor in applied math. have a problem of fulfil these 20 credits. The solution (which has already been made official) is to substitute some of the following classes of your choice from some of those 20 credits above that could not be double counted. Financial Mathematics Track

As a suggestion for students who want to specialize in financial mathematics, students are recommended to complete the following 20 credits courses in addition to or included in their existing requirement(s) for their respective major(s), minor(s) or certificate(s).

  • ICMB214 Managerial Accounting

To obtain the minor, students must complete all of the following 9 courses:

and complete one of the major elective courses (see TQF2 page 29-30 for the list of courses).
